My fleet was basically the same except someone told me to put a yellow gun on one of the Yamatos and then because I had enough FP, consider putting a radar on Kaga and using three torp CI on the DD.
But really, you just have to pray for parallel or green T and hope your fleet kills everything in day battle to help you improve your snipe chances. It's just an RNG slog fest.

Out of curiosity, is anyone trying to farm this monstrosity? Are S-ranks even possible because I'm having no luck.

@goesto11 Thanks - I had her at Juu when the event started, backed her down to K2 for E2. So fodder for the conversion isn't an issue, just re-modernizing the stats. Since Y seems worse than Z I'll try all LBAS to Z2. The Yamatouch is the issue - most of my boss runs it hasn't happened at all, let alone been 'good'.
@firehawk12 Thanks
And after complaining - my mouse flaked out, and in trying to reconnect it I accidentally hit 'back' while on Z1. fml.
I'm going to do what I can this week, but by Friday if I haven't cleared I'll drop to Med. I still don't have Heywood or Yuugure, and I'd like a little time to farm.

@firehawk12 I'm farming Z2 at the moment. S-ranks are more or less there with FF to support, so the event where you don't get S-ranks is mainly down to when your nuke subs do not activate cut in.

What's best for chipping, the "super heavy" STF or fast STF?

@Danielosama: Assuming at least 1 nuke I-20x sub (2 better of course), Yamato + Iowa fast STF ("shortest route") for chipping. Heavy/slow STF (again assuming at least 1 nuke sub) is for LD. If you don't have either I-201 or I-203, I think the best comp for chipping is still Yamato + Iowa and in that case may also be the best comp for LD, but again, not 100% sure.

@Ken G Yeah I mostly get A ranks and I guess it's down to not getting cutins. But sometimes the day battle goes to crap too. It's not terrible, but definitely not great for me... not sure if it's worth trying to get another Altanta anyway. Maybe after I wrap up the rest of the farming.

@Danielosama
Depends on what you want in "best". Heavy allows you to skip shortcut and a higher boss kill rate every time you get to the boss, while fast STF is better boss reach rate.

@Danielosama: Going by EnWiki E-6 maps, Short cut unlocks Start 4 -> R and Z-> Z2 (boss). It's required for any Fast "short"/"shortest" fleet routing. Heavy STF takes the longest route = doesn't use any shortcuts. Unlocking the shortcut is not all that difficult or time consuming, and personally I would suggest doing so since it works for Yamato+Iowa Fast STF fleet.

Managed to keep my t100 despite the new monthly quest but now I have few hours to find 2 useless DE just to unlock it.
